What is done in this procedure?

Thigh lifts are not intended strictly for the removal of excess fat. Liposuction alone can remove excess fat deposits where skin has good elasticity and is able to naturally conform to new body contours. In cases where skin elasticity is poor, a thigh lift along with liposuction may be recommended.

Who are the candidates for this procedure?

Thigh lift surgery may be right for the persons, if underside of thighs are sagging or appear loose and full due to excess skin and fat.

What type of anaesthesia preferred for this procedure?

Done under IV sedation or general anaesthesia.

How many days of hospital stay is needed for this procedure?

It is a day care procedure. Patient may be discharged on the day of surgery itself.

What is the postoperative care advised to the patient?

Patient advised to use compression garment for the thighs for 6 to 8 weeks post operatively.
